USTASoCal Extends July Tournament Suspension

UPDATED June 25, 2020

USTA Southern California previously announced that USTA tennis programming would restart on July 1. However, given the recent increases in COVID-19 cases in California, we have decided to cancel, and where possible, reschedule all USTA Southern California-sanctioned tournaments for the foreseeable future.

This impacts the following tournaments:

Juniors

L3 War by the Shore (Laguna Niguel)
L2 Mary Brymer (Irvine)
L3 Harper Ink (San Diego)
L3 Verdieck Cup 10-U (Anaheim)

Adults

104th Annual La Jolla Tennis Championships
Lakewood Open, NTRP & Senior Tournament
12th Annual San Fernando Valley Tennis Classic ($$$)
78th Annual Santa Ana Open, Senior and NTRP Tournament
28th Annual Mountain View Tournament

We take this step with an abundance of caution and with the health and well-being of our players and tennis industry providers as our top priority.

We will continue to schedule FLEX tournaments and advocate for responsible recreational and competitive tennis play that is consistent with USTA and municipal guidelines and does not require large gatherings of people to congregate at and around tennis facilities.

We hope you are staying safe and healthy during these times.
