The first tournament that will require this is the Level 3 Henry Talbert Tournament on January 18th. Full instructions can be found HERE.

EARLY DEVELOPMENT CAMPS (EDC)

USTA Southern California Early Development Camps are the first step in the USTA Player Development Pathway. Our goal is to bring together SoCal 10 & under players, who currently compete in Junior Circuit tournaments in order to practice and play together. Early Development Camps are developed and designed by the USTA High Performance Player Development and utilize local USTA trained coaches.

This two-day camp emphasizes fundamentals and overall athletic development in a fun, educational environment while giving players an opportunity to earn PlayTracker points through match play. Players with excellent work ethic, commitment, talent, and attitude are encouraged to participate.

The next EDC is on December 21-22 at Barnes Tennis Center.

Ultimate Sportsmanship Challenge

BECOME AN OFFICIAL

Become an ambassador for tennis! Officials play an integral role at tournaments of all levels–from local community events to professional matches–focusing on fair play and sportsmanship. Give back to the sport of tennis by becoming a USTA Certified Official and help to grow the game and ensure fair play!

Fountain Valley’s Albert Ton is proving that age is just a number when it comes to making waves in tennis officiating. Starting as a high school sophomore, Albert embraced the challenge and stepped onto the court as an official. By 20, his journey has already taken him from Southern California’s collegiate matches to the global spotlight at the US Open. If you’ve ever dreamed of being part of the action in a whole new way, Albert’s story shows it’s possible to start now and reach incredible heights.

OTHER INFORMATION

REMEMBER! Only a player’s BEST 6 results are counted towards their ranking.

– After every tournament, you should be receiving a tournament survey from Feefo. Please take a moment to fill out the survey(s). It’s very important when it comes time for the staff and Junior Comp Committee to award new bids and it also helps us improve our tournaments. Responses will remain confidential.

If you are an alternate for another tournament, you MUST remove yourself from that alternate list once you are accepted into another tournament. Players who violate this rule will be disqualified from both tournaments (applies to SoCal tournaments only) and will receive four (4) suspension points. (USTA Regulations IV.F.)

BECOME AN OFFICIAL: We are looking for more people to become certified officials. If you’re interested, please start HERE.

NEED HELP PAYING FOR ENTRY FEES? Please email Ai at USTA Southern California and we’ll try to help you! Player must be free of suspension points and grievances to receive assistance.
