JOIN THE CLUB.

Tennis on Campus (TOC) is the USTA club tennis program, offering college players a socially competitive tennis experience and memories that will last a lifetime. Over 400 colleges and universities nationwide participate in the student-run program, many competing to reach the USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship.

TENNIS ON CAMPUS OPPORTUNITIES

The Southern California Tennis on Campus program currently offers around 20 active colleges and universities, with regular events (often student-organized) held throughout Southern California. Tennis on Campus events utilize the co-ed World TeamTennis format featuring singles, doubles and mixed play.

The SoCal Tennis on Campus season revolves around the Sectional Championship, where top finishers go on to the National Championship.

Still, not every TOC program is solely dedicated to high level competitive play. Many TOC programs are built with the casual player in mind, emphasizing physical activity, social interaction, and providing an outlet for players to organize and enjoy the game with college friends.

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

The USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship is the pinnacle event of collegiate club tennis in the United States. Since its inception in 2000, the event has grown from a select few schools to 64 colleges and universities representing 15 USTA Sections. Teams representing Southern California have fared well at Nationals, including three-time national champions UCLA (2011, 2019, 2022).

From schools large and small, a wide variety of college students make their way to the National Championship each April to conclude the Tennis on Campus season. Club tennis teams can either earn bids through their Sectional Championship or through Tennis on Campus Invitationals that are held twice throughout the academic year.
