Let Us Support You!
USTA Southern California would love to know about any upcoming Play Days that your organization is planning and ways we can support. If you have not hosted a Play Day before*, this is a great opportunity to serve your kids & community through a fun and educational day of tennis, games, food, music, and more.
* Resources/giveaways will be prioritized for providers who did not host a Play Day in 2024.
Important Requirements – Please Read!
> PLAY DAY PROVIDER REQUIREMENTS
– Provider is responsible for running the event (coaching, snacks, music, etc.).
– Must be a USTA member organization (FREE). Please complete the brief process here.
– All coaches/volunteers must have SafePlay clearance. Please complete the brief SafePlay course here.
– Proper permits and insurance must be in place.
– The event must be free and open to the public. (If there is a fee, this should be disclosed during the meeting, including the amount being charged.)
– Providers must submit an attendee list to USTA SoCal. (names and emails).
– Make sure to add this disclaimer line in your registration form: “By registering for this event, you agree to be added to the USTA SoCal email list. We will keep you in the loop about cool events, contests, programs, and more!”
– Please share the list of registrants and walk-up attendees with their email addresses to Camille Hanson (chanson@scta.usta.com).
– Providers must send photos and/or video from the event to USTA SoCal.

> WHAT IS A PLAY DAY?
Play Days are one-day events open to the community. There is typically music, food, and fun tennis games/activities for all ages and levels.
> WHY WOULD YOU HOST A PLAY DAY?
– To promote your programs and grow tennis
– Co-host an event with another organization and build community!
– Introduce your program staff and coaches
– Promote Adult & free Junior USTA memberships
– Fundraise
> HOW WILL USTA SOCAL SUPPORT MY PLAY DAY?
– Swag: 50–60 pieces
– Stipend: $100 (up to two stipends per org per year)
– Equipment (limited and based on inventory available at the time)
– Marketing: Event will be promoted on USTA SoCal social media. You may request a collaborative Instagram post by sharing your @.
