USTA Southern California would love to know about any upcoming Play Days that your organization is planning and ways we can support. If you have not hosted a Play Day before*, this is a great opportunity to serve your kids & community through a fun and educational day of tennis, games, food, music, and more.
* Resources/giveaways will be prioritized for providers who did not host a Play Day in 2024.
Important Requirements – Please Read!
> PLAY DAY PROVIDER ADMINISTRATIVEÂ REQUIREMENTS
– Please read all of the event requirements before creating your event registration form and submit your registration link below. If you do not use a link for registration, you will need to agree to collect and submit contact information for participants and send that information to Camille Hanson (chanson@scta.usta.com).
– Complete the Play Day request form and answer all questions accurately. Camille Hanson will reach out to follow up once you have submitted the form.
– The Play Day form must be submitted AT LEAST 2 WEEKS IN ADVANCEÂ if you are requesting resources like equipment/swag.
> PLAY DAY EVENT REQUIREMENTS
– Community Focus (youth/adults/families)
– The event must be open to the public
– Share USTA Southern California information at your event
– Registration Tracking: In order to receive funding, you must provide registration information and email addresses of attendees.
– Make sure to add a disclaimer line in your registration form that says:Â “By registering for this event, you agree to be added to the USTA SoCal email list. We will keep you in the loop about cool events, contests, programs, and more!”
– Please share the list of registrants, walk-up attendees, and their email addresses with Camille Hanson (chanson@scta.usta.com)Â after the event so we can further connect them with tennis resources.

> WHAT IS A PLAY DAY?
Play Days are one-day events open to the community. There is typically music, food, and fun tennis games/activities for all ages and levels.
> WHY WOULD YOU HOST A PLAY DAY?
– To promote your programs
– Co-host an event with another organization and build community!
– Introduce your program staff and coaches
– Promote and grow tennis
– Promote Adult & free Junior USTA memberships
– FundraiseÂ
> HOW WILL USTA SOCAL SUPPORT MY PLAY DAY?
– A $100 stipend will be provided to organizations hosting a Play Day. The stipend should be used for purposes of the Play Day. Stipends will not be provided to the same organization twice.
– Your event will be advertised on social media, in our newsletter, and on our website.
– Equipment, swag, stipends, and on-site staff support will be provided based on the extent of your request and our resources available at the time. Additional equipment for organizations holding multiple Play Days will not be provided unless there is a special circumstance.
