TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE

Think you’ve got what it takes to compete with the best from across the country? Step up and join the action in the Team Intersectional Showdown, a high-intensity, Level 4 team event where top juniors from USTA Eastern, Southern, Southern California, and Texas go head-to-head in an epic clash of sections. This is your chance to show off your skills, team spirit, and SoCal pride in a format that’s as competitive as it is fun.
Six boys and six girls from each section will be selected according to the National Standings list for a total of 24 boys and 24 girls. The players will then be waterfalled onto two teams of equal strength per section using the most recent ITF World Tennis Number. Expect energy, strategy, and camaraderie like no other tournament.
The tournament will be held June 26-28 (12s) and July 24-26 (14s, 16s, 18s). Register today for your division!
> 12s Registration – Deadline is June 8 (Hosted by USTA Eastern)
> 14s Registration – Deadline is June 24 (Hosted by USTA Texas)
> 16s Registration – Deadline is June 24 (Hosted by USTA Southern)

The entries for the 124th Annual USTA Southern California Junior Sectional Championship are now open!
Tournament dates are June 6-7 and June 12-14 in Lakewood and surrounding areas. Players from the 18s and 16s will have an incredible opportunity to earn a wild card to the 2026 SoCal Pro Series.
The winner of the 18s and 16s will also secure a spot on Team SoCal’s Battle of the Sections team in early August! The Winner and Finalist from each division will receive direct entry into the USTA Level 1 National Championships (“Hard Courts”).

Our 18s and 16s Junior Sectionals and high school CIF players will have a unique opportunity to earn wild cards to USTA Southern California’s SoCal Pro Series. The SoCal Pro Series returns in 2026 with a lineup of ITF/USTA Pro Circuit $15,000 men’s and women’s tournaments, awarding over $210,000 in total prize money and highlighting the most talented up-and-coming players based in Southern California.
The USTA Junior Team Tennis (JTT) Spring Section Championships for 2026 are fast approaching, and below is essential information for the upcoming Sectionals taking place May 16 and 17, 2026. The road to the championships is here, as the top performing teams from the spring season compete for sectional titles across multiple premier venues in Southern California. We’ve all been there. A tough loss, a controversial call, or a heated rivalry leads to a flurry of messages in the group chat. You think you’re just venting to your inner circle. But in 2026, the “private” conversation is a myth.
Before you hit “send” on that text, DM, or comment, you need to understand that in the digital age, the “Code of Conduct” doesn’t end at the baseline.
> THE ONE CLICK RULE
If you wouldn’t say it directly to an official’s face or post it on the tournament desk for everyone to see, don’t type it.
Screenshots are Forever: That “private” group chat is only one screenshot away from becoming public record. Once it’s captured, you lose control of where that information goes.
The USTA Regulations Factor: According to the “Friend at Court 2026” behavior online, including cyberbullying, harassment, or threats, is subject to the same disciplinary actions as on-court misconduct. This isn’t just “social media drama”; it’s a violation that can lead to suspension points and tournament eligibility issues.
> PROTECTING YOUR FUTURE
You’re putting in the work on the court to reach the next level. Don’t let a 10-second lapse in judgment ruin a 10-year goal.
Recruiters Are Reading: College coaches don’t just scout your backhand; they scout your character. They regularly check social media footprints and ask around about a player’s reputation. A leaked thread of disrespectful messages is the fastest way to move from the “recruitment” list to the “no thanks” list.
The Permanent Record: You might delete a post, but the internet keeps receipts. A digital mistake made in the heat of the moment during your junior years can resurface just as you’re applying for college or looking for a professional sponsorship.
> THE SOCAL STANDARD: THINK BEFORE YOU TYPE
Real sportsmanship is a 24/7 commitment.
The 24-Hour Rule: If you’re angry about a match, put your phone in the other room. Let the adrenaline fade before you engage online.
Be the Circuit Leader: If a group chat turns into a “trash-talking” session about another player or official, don’t be a spectator. Be the person who changes the subject or leaves the chat.
The “Tournament Director” Test: If you’d be uncomfortable having a Tournament Director or a college recruiter read your messages, they probably shouldn’t be sent.
The Bottom Line: Your reputation takes years to build and only one “Send” button to break. Play hard, stay humble, and keep the intensity on the court.
