Tournament Sites
There are three sites for the USTA Billie Jean King Girls’ 18s & 16s National Championships in 2026.
The Main Site is Barnes Tennis Center (BTC)

– Parking: Tennis guests are permitted to park free at the Kroc Garage.
– Enter the University of San Diego on Linda Vista Rd
– Pass through the guard gate.
– Go to the 2nd stop sign and turn right into the Kroc Garage
– You will then see signs to walk to the Cindy Hogan
– It is approximately a five minute walk to the tennis courts

Sportsmanship & Conduct
Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in suspension points and/or code violations.
Spectator Oath:
All spectators, including family members, coaches, and guests, must follow the USTA Spectator Oath: “I pledge to set a positive example for players, treat fellow parents, coaches and officials with respect, emphasize the importance of fair play and good sportsmanship, cheer respectfully for winner and good points – not errors and double faults, allow players to work out on-court disputes, and not interfere with matches.”
Safe Play Policy:
All participants must follow the USTA’s Safe Play policies.
Proper Tennis Attire
Proper tennis attire is mandatory at the USTA Girls’ National Championships at all times.
– Sports bras alone are not permitted.
– T-shirts from other tournaments or academies are not permitted.
– Spandex shorts or leggings must be worn with a skirt or short pants.
– Clothing may not display gambling, tobacco, or alcohol advertisements.

Other Important Information
> TOURNAMENT BALLS
Wilson US Open Regular Duty balls are the official tournament ball.
> ICE & WATER
Water is available on all courts at both tournament locations, bring your own water cooler and ice if you want it. If you’ll be using the local practice courts, bring your own cooler with water, as some don’t have fountains.
> CHAIRED MATCHES
All matches are being chaired in every division, including consolation.
Practice Courts
> BARNES TENNIS CENTER
Courts will be available at Barnes Tennis Center beginning Wednesday, August 5th for a fee. Call 619-221-9000.
On Friday, August 7, all 22 hard courts at Barnes Tennis Center will be available for practice at no fee beginning at 8:00 AM. Courts will be available on a first come, first served basis. Four players to a court, if others are waiting. Players have priority over coaches. No advance reservations will be taken for Friday.
Beginning Saturday, August 8 courts will be open at 7:00 AM for practice before the first 8:00 AM matches begin. This is first come, first serve. Four on a court if there are players are waiting. Starting at 8:00 AM, courts will be used for matches.
> PRACTICE COURT SIGN-UP DESK AT BARNES TENNIS CENTER
The Desk will be open from 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM each day beginning on Friday, August 7. During the tournament, sign up in person at the Practice Court Sign-up Desk for practice courts at Barnes and Peninsula Tennis Club.
No phone reservations will be taken.
Practice courts are on a first come, first served basis. Four players per court if necessary.
One hour segments, please. At all times, players have priority over parents, coaches, or hitting partners.
> BALBOA TENNIS CENTER
Prior to the start of the tournament, players must be on the site in order to access a Court for practice, if one is available. The best time to get a court for practice is before 4:00 PM. The fee is $10 per person for a daily permit pass which is good all day.
Courts at Balboa open at 8:00 AM each day. Players are welcome to warm up on the match courts the tournament has reserved before the matches begin. On tournament days, check with the site director to see if there are courts available for practice.
> PENINSULA TENNIS CLUB

Parking is free.
Courts will be available for practice beginning Saturday, August 8 through Wednesday, August 12.

> UNIVERSITY OF SAN DIEGO
The courts that have been reserved for the tournament at USD open at 7:00 AM each day. Players are welcome to warm up on these match courts before the matches begin.
> POINT LOMA NAZARENE UNIVERSITY
Just minutes from the site, we have six beautiful courts on the Pacific from Sunday August 9 to Wednesday, August 12. Sign up at the Practice Court Sign-up Desk at Barnes Tennis Center.

College Coaches’ Recruitment Forum
Our 2026 College Forum on Friday, August 7th from 12:30-3:00 PM PDT gives players and parents a valuable opportunity to meet college coaches in person at the Barnes Tennis Center. Tables and seating will be available both indoors and on the patio for registered college coaches to connect with players, parents, and private coaches.
The forum is open to rising juniors and seniors in accordance with NCAA rules. Players must follow all NCAA regulations related to the colleges they meet with.
To support the recruiting process, players may share a player profile with all college coaches attending the tournament.
